How to apply Hammerite paint?
You can easily apply most Hammerite paints to both rusty and non-rusty surfaces. However, it’s still a good idea to prepare your surfaces, prior to application.
- We’d recommend that you remove all loose flakes of paint and rust with a wire brush.
- Apply a test patch of paint to the surfaces to check for compatibility. If there is an unusual reaction like bubbling, you should remove the paint.
- Use a small brush for tight corners and a roller for large surfaces. Start at the top and steadily work your way down using short and light strokes.
- Check that the first coat is dry before you start to apply the next.
Sit back and enjoy a weather-resistant, long-lasting and stunning finish!
So, why not take on that DIY project in the garden that you’ve been meaning to start? Or maybe it’s time to give your car a new lease of life? Whatever your needs, revitalise all metalwork and destroy rust with our Hammerite range and enjoy the difference for years to come!
